Dr Patricia Prado was a Post Doctoral Research Associate working on Research Theme 2 ‘Supply Chain’. She works at The York Management School (TYMS) and at the Department of Politics, University of York. Patricia holds a PhD in Information Science from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and was a visiting doctoral student at CENTRIM, University of Brighton, developing her studies on intra-firm diffusion of innovation in Project-Based Organizations (PBOs). Her current research investigates how structures, institutions and relationships support or undermine sustainable and resilient agrifood global value chains (GVCs), and how this information can be used to support decision making for enhanced UK food security. She had a central role in the soy governance research and fieldwork carried out in Brazil. Patricia has business experience in implementing innovation and knowledge management processes in large companies such as Petrobras. Her research interests include: food systems, governance of agrifood GVCs, innovation, sustainable supply chains, Latin America/Brazil, soy, organic production.
